SB 91 (Tim’s Law) Becomes Law in Kentucky
Via NAMI Kentucky, the Kentucky General Assembly voted to override the Governor’s veto of Tim’s Law today, meaning that it is passed into law. Kentuckians with the very worst symptoms of severe mental illness can finally get the community-based outpatient treatment that will start them on the road to recovery.
This is a testament to the hard work of mental health advocates, like many of you, contributed during the last several years. In the days ahead, we’ll communicate information on how to thank the legislators who pushed this bill through the grueling process of the session. In the meantime, mental health advocates across Kentucky should celebrate this victory!
